After much success with No Softdrinks in February and No Rice in March, I am eating no fried chicken this April. I just realized how much fried chicken I eat. :-& It's not healthy at all. I think I eat at Jollibee or McDonald's at least twice a week. And I usually order 2 pieces of fried chicken. Sorry na. Add to that the occasional meals at Sunburst, Papa Ching's, Yellow Fin, and other local restaurants that serve yummy greaseless fried chicken. So for the month of April, I am not eating any fried chicken. Wish me luck! :)

From 38 to 29
This is another vanity post. KTHNXBAI! People have been giving me great comments on my new look. My new haircut and recent hospitalization plus some new items in my wardrobe has made more people notice how much weight I have lost. People (mga bolero) have been telling me I look younger even if I just celebrated my birthday. My cousin, my Ninang, and my new Diyosa body at a Davao dorm I am very much basking in the glow of these comments as I have been overweight since I was nine years old. Before that I was a skinny kid. Ever since I was in grade three, I have been mocked for being fat. The fact that I don't have a bubbly personality, and I am quite a competitive girl, didn't really earn me a lot of socialization points. In high school and college, although I have mellowed a bit, I didn't have much of a lovelife. I learned how to cook in college, and I my condo was surrounded by fastfood chains and restaurants which led me to gain so much weight that at my fattest I had a 38 (YUS! 38!) waistline, and weighed almost 150 lbs. Dieting Notes
I am a food. I love food so much I can watch the Lifestyle Network Channel for hours. I can even watch a Food show episode over and over again and still find it interesting. I LOVE FOOD! But my quest for a better wardrobe and boy(S) is now forcing me to diet. Week one was quite a success, mostly because I kept my wallet in a poor state and I stayed away from my cousin who also loves food. Week 2, however, was one big monumental legendary epic fail. I pigged out! A LOT! :( I am now on week 3 and day one, yesterday was quite a success. Today is day 2, and I have been good in eating much less rice. I'm now down to a quarter cup of rice per meal. I only eat two full meals per day. And I don't snack as much anymore. I just came from the grocery and bought two snacking substitutes: Chocolate Milk instead of chocolate bars and candies, and corn flakes instead of chips. Healthy Tuna Recipe
(without photos) Here's a simple Tuna Recipe for those who are on a diet. This is dedicated to my friend Poyt Ingredients: 1 can tuna in water (NOT BRINE or oil, drain) half a can of mushrooms half a clove of medium-sized garlic, chopped 5 - 10 basil leaves, chpped (depending on how much you love basil) 1 Tbsp Japanese soy sauce 1 tsp Balsamic Vinegar Salt and Pepper Olive Oil Procedure: Heat some olive oil in a sauce over medium heat. Saute the garlic. Do not burn or toast. Add the mushrooms and saute. Add the tuna. Saute. Season with the soy sauce and vinegar. Cook for 5 - 10 minutes while occasionally stirring. Add more soy say and vinegar if necessary. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to serving plate. Some notes: This recipe does not work with other types of vinegar. Fresh basil is preferred over dried basil. Extra virgin olive oil is healthier than Virgin Olive Oil. Japanese soy sauce is Kikoman. :P Tbsp = Tablespoon; tsp = teaspoon; 3 tsps = 1 Tbsp Happy dieting eating! :)
Dieting For Vanity's Sake
Yeah, yeah, yeah... been starving myself since the other day. Tuesday I didn't eat ANYTHING for dinner except some crackers and two pieces of oatmeal cookies. Today I ate tocino and a quarter cup of rice for lunch, luglug for dinner (at 5 pm!), and some slices of wheat bread. WHY YOU ASK?! Because I'm vain! I'm dieting so I could but new clothes and fit them well. And yeah, I think it's time to find a new boy. And boys nowadays are pretty much attracted to the thin types... so yeah, I'm dieting for them too. I am LOL'ing at myself now coz I know that clothes and boys won't really make me a better person, or happier. But yeah, I'm dieting coz I want them boys and clothes. :P I have resolved, however, not to starve myself. Rather, I'll eat but eat only healthy food and lessen consumption of indulgences such as chocolate, desserts, coffee, and chichirya. So here's to me trying to lose weight yet again... and this time it's for clothes and boys!
Goal: Lose 15 Pounds
I've been binging the past few days. I have just realized that I eat too much when I do a lot of things. I am going to be a bridesmaid at a wedding at the end of February. THIS! IS! NOT! GOOD! I have to lose at least 10 pounds before the wedding, and 5 more after it. Hmmm.... Suggestions?
