Make no mistake about it. War is coming. With all its glory. And all its horror. That's my SMS tone. Uh huh! I've been very excited to see and play this game, StarCraft II. In the summer of 1998, I spent my vacation in Manila. With three guy cousins. I spent more time in arcades than in stores. And eating instead of shopping. One of the things I learned that summer was how to play StarCraft. I instantly fell in love with the graphics and the game's story. I was eager to finish the campaign so I would know how things ended for Raynor, Kerrigan, and the Duke. All through college, until my third year I played StarCraft with my friends through LAN and through the Battlenet. I wasn't a good player but I kept at it. Then, came WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos and WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne. I also learned Age of Empires, Red Alert, and many other games. And finally, DotA and now, League of Legends. But StarCraft will always be StarCraft. I was super excited when I first heard news that StarCraft II will finally be released. Sometime. Maybe in a year or so. That…

The Night I Used My Baccarat Knowledge For the Good of Mankind
Last Tuesday night, I had a blast at the Digital Filipino Networking Event at the Pantawan Hall of the Casino Filipino at the Grand Regal Hotel here in Davao City. It's not secret I go to the casino regularly with my friends, but usually I am there to control my friends' gambling. After weeks of going to the casino, I was able to finally wield my gambling know-how to help out other bloggers. The night started with a sumptuous buffet of veggies, seafoods, and lechon (roast pig). Then, there was a bit of talk from Tita Janette Toral about the progress of blogging in the Philippines, and the top 100 blogs for 2008. We were quite proud that there was a number of the top 100 bloggers from Davao such as Blogie, Kuya Andrew, and Winston. Then, the fun began. There was overflowing iced tea, and BOOZE. Ten bloggers were then chosen to play in a poker tournament. Me, Kuya, and our other cousin Gwing were all chosen. YEY! Our goal was not to be the first one out of the table. LOL! And we managed to do that. Gwing was the third one out. While, me and Kuya managed…
Thank You Boys!
Just when I was starting to become jaded and pessimistic, the world, you guys, gave me a reason to smile. You made me cry, made me remember, made me realize that everything has not been in vain, that the hard work has not been futile. Thank you for making me believe again! Thank you for making me realize I still matter! Thank you for giving me a reason to move forward! THANK YOU!
More Hectic Days
Just when I thought I will be able to take a rest... Boss Andrew told me we will have another hectic day tomorrow. Then on Friday, I will have regular work (I hope), then Flag Retreat at the City Hall, the the New Bloods Tournament Briefing and Bracketing. On Saturday, from 10 am onwards will be the actual tournament. I'm the Head Marshall so no rest for me. HUHU! HALP!

A Night Out
Last Saturday, the BoyzTrek (BT) boys and Mayang (their official muse) invited me to join their inuman session. The invitation actually came days before. And eventhough my SJL Boys were asking me to go out with them that same night, I went out with the BT Boys instead. As I was too drunk to remember everything that happened that night... here are just bits and pieces of what I remember... 1) Me: Burnz, I'll skip this round. Burnz: Ok. Rioren upon receiving his shot: Ria, salo mo ako. ANUH? Tama daw na guy magpapasalo ng shot sa girl. 2) Somebody gave away his number to a gay guy who was obviously flirting with him. 3) I saw my cousin Brian's friends. They invited me to join them. They said Brian just left to go do something (ANO KAYA YUN?) and that his younger sister, Mae was in the area. 4) Coincidentally, my SJL Boys: Shad, Aiwem, Royce (with gf Em), and Brylle were also there. 5) And the Sequel Sta Ana (SSA) boys Talong (yup, that's his nickname), and BJ were also there. According to them, SSA has two teams ready to join the tournament circuit once again. 6) Me…
