4 appetizers 1 soup 9 viands 2 noodle dishes 2 rice dishes 4 desserts TOO MUCH? DEFINITELY! Singaporean Style Prawn Toast That's how much food were served to us when we visited the Banana Leaf Asian Cafe earlier this evening. Of course, we started off with appetizers. My favorite among which was the Singaporean Style Prawn Toast. Mainly because there were sesame seeds on top. White and black! YUMMY! It was a bit greasy but I didn't mind. I also likes the Roti Dog with Mango and Curry Sauce. The curry sauce was a bit mustard-y. Another hit was the Vietnamese Prawn Ball with CHEESE. Shrimp Wanton Soup with Curry Laksa Then we had the Shrimp Wanton Soup with Curry Laksa. It was a bit spicy, with a tinge of sourness which I absolutely loved. The soup was a bit creamy yet very thin and light. The shrimp wantons were also very tasty. Then, dish after dish after dish of viands, rice, and noodles were brought out and served. GRAWRRR! There was pork, beef, chicken, fish, squid, and vegetables. My favorites were the Wok Fried Squid with Basil, the Malayan Beef Curry, and the Macau Style Baked Mixed Vegetables. Sweet…

The Misadventures of the Allebas at Camp Sabros
My cousins Kuya Andrew, Gwing, Kuya Jofer, Marc, and I just came from Camp Sabros. To start of our misadventure, we missed this very important sign... So we passed through Digos City (where Camp Sabros is) then panicked upon seeing the "Thank You! Come Again to Digos" signage. :( Not such a great way to start a fun summer outing. It was a sign of things to come... dun dun duuuun! We had to turn back, tried to find the correct way, and realized we wasted a lot of time by getting lost. When we saw a McDonald's we immediately went down to buy lunch, but wasn't able to because it was only 10 am and they would only start serving non-breakfast food at 10:30 am. SAAAD! Then we began the long trip to Camp Sabros. It was loooong and bumpeh! Then we tried to trek from the parking area to the actual site. Gwing, Marc, and I failed at being trekkers so we rode motorcycles. It was my first time to ride a motorcycle. Nothing exciting. Then, we arrived at Camp Sabros, when it was almost our turn, the people manning the zipline had to eat lunch. :( So…

Friday Afternoon at the Davao Crocodile Park
Thursday, Kuya Andrew asked for ideas where he could take his friend Shawie the following day. Shawie was flying in to Davao City from Manila, for a wedding. I suggested we go to Eden Nature Park and try out their zip line. The most popular animal during the Animal Encounter Friday afternoon, we went to the ticketing office and found out that 4 pm was too late to go to the park to enjoy the zip line. So we decided to go to the Davao Crocodile Park instead. And we weren't disappointed. Shawie enjoyed looking, interacting with, and taking pictures with all the animals. Kuya Andrew and I, on the other hand, were freaked out and were content just taking photos from a comfortable distance. Shawie and the albino python It was a fun-filled afternoon that I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved the Bengal Tigers. I hate cats, and I am afraid of tigers and lions. But the Bengal Tigers were so cute!!! During the animal encounter, the female host was sooo annoying. Not only did she mispronounce every other word, she did enunciate anything clearly. GRAWRRR! Me and the buzzard which the host called a boozzard More photos: And... The…
