Sequel Juan Luna Boys
Clockwise from left: Shad, Toti, Papi, Gibb, Aiwem Been hanging out at another cafe with other people lately. So when some of the Sequel Juan Luna (SJL) boys started making tampo that I haven't been to SJL, I started feeling guilty. So on the eve of my cousin Luan's birthday, we played there. We went back again the next day. I hang out with the boys playing and drinking until early morning. Yesterday, I went back to watch their match game, and to hang out with them while they had a drinking session. I realized... nakaka-miss rin pala yung mga mokong na yun!!! Ria / RJ aka Polar aka Gongju and Gwing aka Kwala aka Cong Chua During the Kadayawan DotA Tournament Finals, my cousin Gwing and I wore our DotAStrategy.com shirts and a lot of people were green with envy. I've been receiving a lot of queries regarding where and how they can buy/get the shirts. Ah, eh... There are only three of those shirts: mine, Gwing's and Kuya Andrew's. But don't worry DS fans, Kuya Andrew and I are already working on having the shirts printed, so well can give/sell it to those who want one. Abangan...
I Miss Blue Skies Katipunan!
I was chatting with a Manila-based gamer last night. When I learned that he regularly plays at Blue Skies Katipunan, I suddenly felt sad. I miss that place. That's the place where I used to live. It was my home for a number of months before I came back here. All the bantays there already knew me and would give me the best units. The night guy there would give me unit number 1. Back in 2004, unit number was the only unit with a PLDT internet connection. All the other units were connected to Bayantel. It was the fastest unit. It was beside the counter/cashier's table. I would play hours of Warcraft: Frozen Throne ladder games there over Battle.net. Once I stayed there from 10 pm until 2 pm the next day. Huhu... I miss that place. If I go back to Manila for vacation, I will make it a point to visit that place.
Determined to Blog
Day 1 of the tournament ended at around 10:30 am. It was tiring but fun, fun, fun at the same time. Got to meet new people. It was actually kinda relaxed but it was a good learning experience. After the tournament, I was still very much awake no thanks to the two glasses (not cups) of coffee I had. So I decided I wanted to go out as it is Kadayawan after all. But the weather had other plans for me. So instead of forging ahead downtown to look for people to go out with, I picked up my laptop and came here to Kasagingan to blog about today's events. It was raining very hard and most streets are now under water. Nonetheless, I am now here, blogging. I'm still uploading photos and videos but the writing part is (I'm happy to say) over! Tomorrow, I shall bring this laptop to the tournament and blog, blog, blog. I hope... as I still have to take pictures, take down notes and other things during the tournament. It's a tiring job but I love it. ;)
