Last Friday, I hurried to Caffe Vivere at around 7 pm for the speed dating event. I. WAS. LATE. When I arrived, I saw three guys, two of them were already my friends. After a while, the other participants arrived. Meantime, me and my guy friends chatted while eating some food. I wanted to eat more but I was you know... trying not too eat too much. LOL! I also had some of their fabulous iced tea. YUMMY! I was kinda worried though because as moments passed by, more and more guys started arriving. It was kinda intimidating to be the only girl. Good thing other girls also started arriving after a while. Peculiar thing though, some participants arrived in twos, but according to them they're not a couple. ANYWAY... Around past 8 pm, there were enough participants to get the ball rolling. So there I was, armed with my score sheet and the #4. I took my seat and got to meet bachelor #4. After eight minutes... came bachelor number #5. At the end of the thing, I got to meet eight guys. All of them were interesting... but in different ways, and at different levels. Would I consider…

My Valentine's Date: Surf n Turf with the Relatives
Early yesterday morning, my Tita already sent me an SMS inviting me to eat dinner at their house that evening. Of course I didn't refuse. Later that day, there I was along with my Titas, a Tito, and my single cousins: Kuya Andrew, Luan, and Gwing. (Why is is the singles are gamers and bloggers? LOL!) We had fabulous grilled steak marinated in Worcestershire sauce, gravy, crabs, and mashed butter with potatoes. We ended the meal with some dark chocolates and sparkling wine. YUMMY! Meals with my relatives are always interesting. Not just coz my Titas are great cooks (hear that Ninang Ivi?), but also because of the amount of gossip you hear. Haha! Mostly, we talk about our relatives who are not present (hear that non-single cousins?), family friends, and even celebrities. All in all it was nice meal. Nothing fancy, but memorable.
This is Why I Have a Personal Blog
A lot of people ask why I even bother with a personal blog when I have all those other niche blogs. Click to know my answer... MWAHAHAHAHAHA! :P Seriously though... I have a personal blog because it is my outlet for everything, my happiness, my sadness, my excitement, my angst, my favorite things, my pet peeves, the people I love, and those I hate. It's like having a counselor, only it doesn't tell me to do things. I also serves as my virtual album and memory bank. Whenever I browse through my archives, I am amazed at the things I wrote, the events in my life, I emotions I felt, and the people I met along the way. I also reminds me of my mistakes, and the lessons I've learned. So why do I have a personal blog? Because I want to, and there's nothing you can do about it. :P
