My Type of Guy Meme

I got this meme from Noemi who didn't tag me. But I want to be tagged so I answered the meme anyway. :P This meme is all about my type of guy. 1. Suplado = I like suplado guys. The more that a guy does not pay attention to me, the more he gets my attention. 2. Mr. Shades = I don't like guys who wear shades even if it's not necessary ie when it's dark. 3. Masculado = I like lean guys. 4. Guys who give flowers = I like to receive flowers (NOT ROSES PLEASE) when I least expect it ie when there's no special occasion. Of course if there's an occasion I would also like to receive flowers. 5. Smiling face = Siyempre... 6. Hiphop = My guy should, MUST, is required to know how to dance. 7. Guys who ask permission before courting = Yes, because I'm a dense girl. If you won't ask permission, I'd assume you were just trying to be a friend. 8. Has earring/s = Why not? 9. Used to chew bubblegum = I chew gum, so why not? Wag lang all the time. 10. Long-hair = Acceptable but should always look…

Go Bords!

One of the more famous DotA battlecries nowadays is "Go Bords!" The expression was made popular by Talibong1's super funny 300 spoof videos over at YouTube. Nope, I don't really speak or understand Ilonggo but I do speak and understand Bisaya so I understand most of the dialogue. :P Benjo Mangayo Kog Kwarta (Benjo, I Want Money) Benjo Kag ang Batalyon Pitbull (Benjo and the Pitbull Battallion) Benjo Ang Paglalakbay (Benjo's Journey) - last part CLEAN CUT! KICKING FISH!!!

WTF?!

I didn't post anything about the death of Chris Mendez. He allegedly (MOST LIKELY) died due to hazing. I didn't write or post anything about it because I felt like there's nothing more that can be said about it that others haven't already written or posted. But this post is just begging for a reaction. The blogger is apparently a part of the Sigma Rho Fraternity. And here's part of what he wrote... Oh God, I could write an entire book about the frat and if there's one thing that I'm sure of, people- the Sigma Rho fraternity in particular- are not out to kill you during an initiation and bruises (I couldn't wear jeans for two weeks because my legs were swollen) are basically superficial. But it's a risk on your part and it's a personal choice to take that risk. It's like bunjee-jumping or climbing a mountain; you really can't say how your body will take the physical and psychological stress, which when pushed to the extremes can be life threatening and even fatal. I'd say that Mendez took a risk and lost. There's so many things, so many arguments, so many points I could raise right now...…

What Do You Do…

...when you try to be controversial but nobody thinks you are??? You post something you think will start a lengthy discussion leading to you and your blog's popularity. But then, nobody seems to think you are worth their two cents. Wawa ka naman... Try another topic na lang po.

Blogging in Vietnam and Davao City

In Vietnam, young bloggers are starting a revolution. Bloggers are giving new meaning to journalism... pushing aside the state-run media and giving the Vietnamese new sources of news and information. Meanwhile, here in Davao City, SunStar columnist Dorothy Bangayan did a piece on blogging and blogs focusing on Davao-based blogs. And I'm happy to note that two of my six blogs were mentioned as worthy of being read... MyDavaoCity.com -- This is also another Davao City blog posted by a group of bloggers. It also got a list of small directory going for wifi hotspots and resorts although not yet completely updated. www.shopchicks.com -- The blogger is a fashionista and it shows with posts of the latest styles. This one takes on a new definition of window shopping. My name wasn't mentioned but I don't care. Hehe... Other blogs mentioned were Ang Dabawenyo, Word God Spells, Davao's Food Huntress, Letters to Mikee, Davao Diaries, Mom About Town, Dabawenya, and Jobs For Davao. The article also mentioned the Davao Blogs Aggregator Site, the Mindanao Bloggers Blog, and the upcoming Mindanao Bloggers' Summit. The article actually made me think about making my own top Davao Blogs. Hmmm... might post one soon.
