Manila Day 3

I woke up at around 9:30 am, took a bath, ate breakfast, and prepared for a day of gallivanting around. At around 11 am, Kuya, Winston, and I met up with Juned. After a while, Ate Aileen also arrived.

We went to Binondo. YEY! We ate at Estero where we had Yang Chow Fried Rice, Scallops with Mushrooms, Sweet and Sour Pork, and Oyster Cake. YUM YUM YUM!

After lunch, we met up with Benj. We went on a search for Quickly. LOL! But failed miserably… we spent more time walking around more than anything else. Well, there were also lotsa camwhoring.

After Binondo, they went to Intramuros while I hailed a cab to go to Taft. I visited Mineski Grounds. I was able to meet a lot of the DotA players I chat with or play with over G Arena. My ex was there and he was like… uhmmm…. hmmm…. ah, eh… he ignored me. LOL! I also met up with Davao player Yukz who is trying to move to Manila and needed professional and personal advice. Awww… bonding kami! The friendliest people there were Vini, Tony, Roro, Khen, and Papa Bong. 😛

By 6 pm, I left to go to the Mall of Asia. I walked to the esplanade to Razon’s. Kuya, Ate Aileen and Sweetie, Juned, Winston, and Migs were there eating some afternoon merienda. Benj returned and we met up with AJ at Gerry’s Grill. Jeff and Fritz were also there. I ate Sinigang, Adobo Shreds, and Crispy Tadyang. I drowned all the fatty goodness with Green Mango Shake. Benj had at least 10 glasses of iced tea, LOL! Sulit ang bottomless. Had a fun time with them. 😉 Sayang Manolo and Jayvee weren’t able to join us.

Kuya, Migs, and Winston teased me on the way to dessert and I got pissed. It was annoying and it triggered something in me, a combination of very bad past birthdays, my ex ignoring me, and some other crap stuff that forced me into being my passive aggressive angry self. I kept quiet the entire time, then went to the ladies room upon after ordering at Cafe Breton at Podium, and cried. When I returned to the table, my order of Crepes + Sliced Peaches + Coffee Ice Cream + Walnuts was served with a candle… and I started crying… not the “I’m so happy cry” but a sad painful cry. I tried to smile for the camera… it was AWKWARD! Then, I ate quietly. After eating and paying the bill, I went out hastily, and didn’t have the manners to smile at the Breton crew who greeted me a Happy Birthday. Sorry…

Now, I am at Kuya’s house… blogging away because this day is something worth saving. Life… is sooo unpredictable. One day you think you can have it all… the next, you realize you’re still human and not shielded by your joys and successes. You enjoy moments that you can enjoy and just learn from those which cause you pain.

Happy Birthday to me! 🙂
