Manila Day 9: Politics and a Rock Fest

Late start…

  • Had sinigang and beef steak for lunch. Ate it when I woke up at 2 pm. LOL!
  • Spent the afternoon online. Then prepared for a looong night!
  • I was a bit early for the dinner with political bloggers so I went to Theatre Mall. Had a very delicious Iced Cafe Mocha at Starbucks, then bought a nice hair accessory. Naks naman… nagpapaka-girl. LOL!
  • I had a hard time finding a cab from Theatre Mall, but lining up and waiting paid off. Hurrah! And the people beside me were nice so I didn’t really have a bad time while waiting.
  • Had a very interesting dinner at Barrio Fiesta along Wilson, with my idol, MLQ3, Juned, Butch and Noemi Dado, Arbet Bernardo, Schumey and Marck. We had discussions about GMA, federalism, Davao politics, the church, Martial Law, and blog chismis. LOL! I felt quite insecure but proud to be among them. 😉
  • Had my picture with MLQ3. FINALLY! 😛 (To be posted later. Stupid me lost this file. 🙁 )
  • Fritz happened to pass by when we were getting out of Barrio Fiesta so we walked to Bela Bar together where we met up with Kring and Poyt. The three of us basically hung out together and did some camwhoring. Fun times! 🙂
  • I got to meet THE Mike “F*cking” Villar, Peter Mordo, and Pau Araos. Helga and Lauren were also there, as well as Rico Mossesgeld and Sasha Manuel. I was too shy to approach Sasha and Rico. Heh!
  • By the way… Marco Palinar was also there and he plays the guitar well… VERY WELL! Sobrang galing actually!!! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!
  • And that Ade Magnaye guy… he was also there with his band. Got to say, they were better than expected. 🙂 I’m not a big fan of their kind of music but I enjoyed their set.
  • Kring, Poyt, and I decided to have more fun… ya know… like clubbing and stuffs… but we ended up at Heaven n Eggs. Whattagoodgurls the three of us. HAHA! We chatted A LOT! And ate a whole damn lot too. We had the Chicken Teriyaki Platter with the eggs that contained some seaweed things. SARAP! Then we gobbled up the Dulce de Leche Pancakes. Ayun… NABUSOG!
  • Now at Kuya’s house… blogging, twitting, chatting, and blog hopping.

Tomorrow… last day and I don’t have any real plans except I have to buy some Krispy Kremes. HAY!!!

  1. Again it was awesome meeting you. When are you coming back to Manila? Soon I hope.

Also, shy ka pala in person. Pero mas shy pa rin ako. 🙂

  2. I swear if Fritz and Ade followed, we could’ve gone clubbing… or drinking! LOL. “Twas great hanging out with you, dear! *hugs*

  3. Thanks for showing up and watching the BGRF (we gotta fix that acronym soon)! Really appreciate it.

  4. Hi Ria, if I only knew you had to take the cab, I would have picked you up. It was great meeting and exchanging views with you. Looking forward to our next EB, hopefully soon. Glad you enjoyed your stay here in Manila.

  5. @Schumey – I’m used to riding the cab. 🙂 Our dinner was one of the most interesting ones I’ve had.

  6. Ria:

It was so nice meeting you. That was actually the first time I actually showed up for dinner with bloggers. 🙂

Hope to chat with you again, and hope to see you back here in Manila (or there in Davao, whichever comes first)!

    Marck
