The Wedding I Might Want

I have not, even as a kid, dreamed of having a wedding, getting married or having children. Maybe thought about it in vague terms, but was never something I spent time thinking about and dreaming about. I’m weird, I know.

But here’s one wedding I might want to have:

Jerico and Marizel (Tuesday Vargas) from Mayad Studios on Vimeo.

Jerico: Today I will marry my friend, the one I will live with, dream with, and love. Izel, I offer you a bond that will be as sound and dependable through the patterns of life’s ever changing tides. As these waters nourish the earth and give life, may my constant devotion nourish and sustain you until the end of time. My love for you, endless and eternal, ….

Yes, that’s comedienne Tuesday Vargas you dum dum. LOL!

Their wedding is not beautiful because time and money was spent on it. And the video is not great because of the videographer’s skills. The wedding video is one that touches my heart and caused a lot of people to shed tears because it is apparent that the couple love each other dearly.

And their relationship is one that most of us aspire to have. You can feel how serious they are in committing to each other, yet the fun and funny parts of their lives are obvious. It’s one I want.

Not the wedding necessarily, but the relationship. They care for each other, they cry together, and laugh together. They face life’s changes head on and they have fun through it all.

We all want somebody special in our lives, yes? But not just somebody. Not just somebody who’s there, who happens to enter our lives when we needed somebody.

We all need somebody who will be there, who cares, who understands, with whom we can be ourselves, get crazy, show our feelings, and yet they will still accept us. That’s what I want and need.

No to settling down. Or merely settling for somebody.

A relationship should make each one grow and make life, not easier, but better.

Coy and Izel, while I don’t know you personally or will get the chance to meet you (coz like you I am not yet popular enough), I am inspired by your love. I do wish you a happy life together full of joys and maybe some tears! 🙂

It’s what I’d want for myself, somebody who will love me and accept me and with whom I’ll live my life with, dream with, and hold hands with as we journey through life and all it’s challenges.

CHEEEEEESY!
