Great Day

Just had a great day! By any other standards, it was a normal hectic day. And that’s what made it so great. I was hospitalized for a week, and it almost a week since I was discharged but not allowed to go out. And while I didn’t go out today, it is the first time in a long time that I felt normal.

The day started out with breakfast of pancakes. Yummy! And some meds. Meh!

Then, I dove right into work. I accomplished tasks for WordCamp Ph 2010, Avatar Media, and Davao Bloggers. I also made scripts and coordinated for Davao Poker TV.

Plus, I published and publicized some blog posts and started working on article submissions. I started most of these before lunch. WHOA!

My relatives were here for lunch. We ate sinigang, kaldereta, and balbacua. Plus fruits, ice cream, and chocolates for dessert. Extra yummy and fun.

With my nephews playing and running amok in the background, I went right back to my chores, tasks, and articles. I had to wear a face mask because there were too many people around. It was quite hard to breathe but I was able to work efficiently, nonetheless.

Plus, I got some bonding time with my kulit nephews who asked at least 10 times why I was sick and why I wasn’t in the hospital.

I was too excited to eat dinner because my cousin is going out for dinner and she promised she’d buy me pasta puttanesca. As motivation for her, I did her eye make up which ended up great. Nice! I’ll do her make up when she goes out for gimik again this weekend.

For dinner, I ate some pork and a lot of soup and rice, enough to fill my tummy so I could take meds. After taking meds, I decided to rest and just watch some tv shows.

Finally, my cousin arrived and I was toooo happy!!! Look…

As a dengue patient, I was not allowed to eat anything red or dark colored. So I wasn’t able to eat a lot of pasta in two weeks. Just a lot of carbonara. Meh!

I love pasta… all sorts of it but my favorites are those with tomatoes. In fact, I love all sorts of food with tomato sauce. So I was really ecstatic upon seeing my puttanesca. My cousin said I had this really weird super happy face on. HAHA!

I greedily ate everything. It had tomatoes, olives, capers, garlic, and anchovies and served with herby foccacia bread. REALLY HAPPY!

It was the first time I felt normal in two weeks or so. And it felt great! 🙂

Thank you relatives and workmates! 🙂 And friends who kept in touch through FB and SMS.

MWAH! 😉
