Bamboo

Charisma. That's what came to mind when I watched Bamboo perform live. His voice isn't really earth-shaking, most of his songs sound the same... and I don't even get the lyrics because he seems to mumble all the time. I am a bigger fan of his former band, and I have never adored his current band. But for that moment, when I was watching them, I was defnitely a fan. Bamboo himself was so charismatic. He knew how to liven up the crowd and how to make them swoon and adore him more. He moved, sang and performed as if he was doing it for each person in the audience. He was passionate. And it was evident. If he decides to start a cult, I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of people would believe him. I think, he is that good in selling himself, albeit subtly. So will I listen to his music more and watch him again? Only if it's for free ulit. :P

Lady in the Water

First off, I would just like to say that... I LOVE IT! I DO!!! I REALLY, REALLY DO!!! I fell in love with it even before the end credits rolled.  M. Night Shymalan is a god.  I would love to meet him (and Jerry Bruckheimer) someday. ;) The performance of all the actors were great. Paul Giamatti fits his role perfectly. The direction and editing was perfect. The writing was witty and humorous at the right parts and serious when necessary. But it was really the story that capture my heart. The foreshadowing, the way the plot played out, the minor twists... it was what caught my attention. I can't really explain much because I'm not a film critic... but I love it. I recommend it to all. ;)

AdMU vs AdU, Round 1

I almost had a heart attack.... I wasn't able to watch the game so I decided to read the blow-by-blow account over at PinoyExchange. The Blue Eagles won, but dammit... they better shape up. Parang may kulang. On the other hand, when I watched the game against UP I was really impressed that Intal, Escalona and Kramer had really matured. Intal is at his peak, IMHO, but he still lacks that killer instinct that Enrico V had.  Kramer's aggressiveness naman can really get him into much (foul) trouble. Anyway.... I'm still hoping it's going to be an interesting season, kahit walang Archers. :( ANIMO ATENEO!!!
