I didn't know that Davao City had an official song until I joined an essay-writing contest a few years ago and the organizers sang the song before the contest began. I was more surprised to know that most of the other participants knew the song. Now that I am employed by the Davao City government, I have to attend the weekly flag ceremony at the City Hall. And we sing this song at those ceremonies. I am trying to memorize the song. It's a beautiful song that depicts the natural wonders of the city and how as Davaoeños we should commit ourselves to serving the city. Davao Bloggers + Tour Operators Meet-Up

In attendance were me, Kuya Andrew, Blogie, Christian, and Dominic. We met up with Edmund of Travel Advantage, Alex of Pacific Royal Wings, Ruben of Surelite Travel and Tours, Pia of ParTravel and Tours, and Dizon of Dizerling Travel and Tours. I am super excited because I think the partnership between us bloggers and them tour operators will be very good for our common goal to promote travel and tourism in Davao City (and the rest of Mindanao). Dreaming up a Dream House
When I moved out of our house, one of the things that entered my mind was of course having my own house someday. This would entail a lot, lot, lot of saving up. Imagine buying your own lot, paying for all the paperworks and legalities necessary. Then, paying the engineer, architect (but my friend says he's gonna do it for a discounted price, so thank you!), carpenters, electricians, and other installers and contractors. And then of course, there would also be costly construction materials: cement (whose prices are getting higher by the minute, I exaggerate but you get the point), lumber, nails, trusses, tiles, sinks, doorknobs, and what nots. And it being a home for a Queen (ehem*ME*ehem), it should have the nicest (but not necessarily expensive) furniture, appliances, and fixtures. And let's not forget the interior design. Did you that there PRC certified interior designers? I must hire one!!! And let him/her choose all the most tasteful linens, decors, ad infinitum. Me being the cooking freak that I am, I must, must, must have all the best kitchen fixtures, tools, and appliances. RAWRRR! Just think about it makes my head ache and my nose bleed. Ateneo vs La Salle AGAIN!
HOOOHA!!! After a win over the defending champions UST Tigers (YEAH!), the Ateneo Blue Eagles will face once again their biggest rivals, the DLSU Green Archers. Yeah, yeah, yeah... the fates have decided that three Ateneo - DLSU matches just ain't enough for one season. And would you believe, the New York Times even has feature on the Ateneo - La Salle rivalry... Senators, foreign diplomats, cabinet ministers, a smattering of Forbes’s 40 richest Filipinos, movie stars and enough professional basketball players to play five-on-five. They are the elite of Philippine society, and they all gather at Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City to watch the men’s basketball rivalry between the universities Ateneo de Manila and De La Salle.... Ateneo and La Salle are the most prestigious private universities in the country. The question of which institution provides a superior education is a toss-up; the tie breakers take place on the basketball court. Although Ateneo and La Salle have similar upper-class student bodies, their respective basketball teams are very different. GO ATENEO! ONE! BIG! FIGHT!
