Acceptance Speech: Top Video Posts and Podcasts for 2010

Last Sunday, I was awarded by the Philippine Blog Awards with the Top Video Posts and Podcasts for 2010. I was not able to attend the awards ceremony but my friend, Winston, accepted the award for me. The award is for Podcast 6: Being Friends with the Ex. Here is the speech I was supposed to deliver when I accept the award: Thank you to the Plurkers, Facebook friends, and blog commenters who inspire me with new topics and issues to discuss! Thank you to my relatives and friends who listen to my endless blabbing! I share this award with my badet friends Kring and Poyt. I also share this award with the boys and men who broke my heart and help me get insights for good podcast topics. Daghang salamat! Thank you to the Philippine Blog Awards, Inc for recognizing the best and brightest of the Philippine blogosphere! I know what you're doing isn't hard and it's not for personal gain of profit. Many, many thanks! I would also like to thank my colleagues at Avatar Media, Davao Bloggers, and Mindanao New Media who inspire me everyday to be a better blogger and person! May we continue to work…

Bloggers' Choice Special Award

Hi there readers! Yes, it's me, the one and only Diyosa Maria "Ria" A. Jose. I am expressing my intent to join the Philippine Blog Awards 2009 Bloggers' Choice Special Award (NATIONAL ). Why? Because I want to. It's a special award that involves bloggers voting their choice of blogger who will get the award. Last year my special friend slash fake boyfriend Chairell Winston "Batang Yagit" Almendras, won the award. I believe I can win it this year. Libre naman mangarap diba? I have been blogging for a long time, and have been maintaining a lot of bloggers. Last year, I had 12 nominations but didn't win anything. Guess I'm one of the better bloggers but not the best at any of my niches. LOL! So this year, I'm gunning for the Bloggers' Choice Award. I am joining using this blog, but also in behalf of the more than 10 other blogs I own, maintain, and manage. Nananawagan po ako sa lahat ng aking mga kamag-anak (there's at least 3 of you who blog), kaibigan (ang dami niyo promise), taga-hanga (sana meron kahit isa), at kung sinu-sino pang mga bloggers na maaaring bumoto sa akin, suportahan at iboto niyo…

My PBA 2008 Thank You Speech

Last year, I was nominated for several categories, but wasn't even a finalist in any. I told myself, I'd be a finalist this year. And quickly forgot about that goal. But lo and behold, this year, three of my blogs were finalists for various categories. One blog which I am part owner of was also a finalist, and was, in fact, up against my other blog. Six of my posts were also finalists. I submitted entries for two sponsor awards. That give me around 12 chances to win. But I didn't win. NADA! Nonetheless, I would like to thank the following people: my cousins Kuya Andrew who helped me get started in blogging, and who continues to help me with the technical stuff, and Gwing who has taken over one of my blogs; Ate Aileen who inspires me to be a better blogger and person; Tita Janette who gave me the chance to be an iBlog speaker; MLQ3 and the Filipino Voices bloggers who inspire me to be a more responsible and conscientious political blogger Avatar Media colleagues Migs, Winston, and Blogie; all my blog readers, friends, mga ka-link exchange, fans, followers, flamers, and HATERS who give me a good…
