You're So Vain

You’re So Vain by Carly Simon You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht Your hat strategically dipped below one eye Your scarf it was apricot You had one eye on the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte And all the girls dreamed that they’d be your partner They’d be your partner, and... You’re so vain, you probably think this song is about you You’re so vain, I’ll bet you think this song is about you Don’t you? don’t you? You had me several years ago when I was still quite naive Well you said that we made such a pretty pair And that you would never leave But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee Clouds in my coffee, and... I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee Clouds in my coffee, and... Well I hear you went up to saratoga and your horse naturally won Then you flew your lear jet up to nova scotia To see the total eclipse of the sun Well you’re where you should be all the time And when you’re not…

Lose Your Beer Belly

Because I love Ade Magnaye (but he wouldn't date me... FAIL!), here's my compilation of videos from the set of Lose Your Beer Belly during the Man Blog Banana Gangbang Rock Fest: Two of the songs by my Papa Ade, "Strength in Numbers," and another untitled one. The last song is "Selfish" by Bok Balagtas and RJ Perfecto. And the band also features the first Filipino blogger Lauren Dado who learned how to play the guitar BY HERSELF. Lose Your Beer Belly is composed of vocalist Bok, guitarists Lauren and Perf, drummer Jake Manlulo, and bassist Ade. The BGBRF was held last May 3, 2008 at the Bela Bar along Wilson Avenue in Greenhills, San Juan.

Manila Day 9: Politics and a Rock Fest

Late start... Had sinigang and beef steak for lunch. Ate it when I woke up at 2 pm. LOL! Spent the afternoon online. Then prepared for a looong night! I was a bit early for the dinner with political bloggers so I went to Theatre Mall. Had a very delicious Iced Cafe Mocha at Starbucks, then bought a nice hair accessory. Naks naman... nagpapaka-girl. LOL! I had a hard time finding a cab from Theatre Mall, but lining up and waiting paid off. Hurrah! And the people beside me were nice so I didn't really have a bad time while waiting. Had a very interesting dinner at Barrio Fiesta along Wilson, with my idol, MLQ3, Juned, Butch and Noemi Dado, Arbet Bernardo, Schumey and Marck. We had discussions about GMA, federalism, Davao politics, the church, Martial Law, and blog chismis. LOL! I felt quite insecure but proud to be among them. ;) Had my picture with MLQ3. FINALLY! :P (To be posted later. Stupid me lost this file. :( ) Fritz happened to pass by when we were getting out of Barrio Fiesta so we walked to Bela Bar together where we met up with Kring and Poyt. The three…

Daniel Bedingfield's If You're Not the One

Yet another cheesy song from the boyfriend... IF YOU'RE NOT THE ONE by Daniel Bedingfield If you're not the one then why does my soul feel glad today? If you're not the one then why does my hand fit yours this way? If you are not mine then why does your heart return my call? If you are not mine would I have the strength to stand at all? I never know what the future brings But I know you are here with me now We'll make it through And I hope you are the one I share my life with I don't wanna run away but I can't take it, I don't understand If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am? Is there any way that I can stay in your arms? If I don't need you then why am I crying on my bed? If I don't need you then why does your name resound in my head? If you're not for me then why does this distance maim my life? If you're not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife? I don't know why…

Tonight by Static FM

TONIGHT by FM Static I remember the times we spent together on those drives We had a million questions all about our lives and when we got to New York everything felt right I wish you were here with me tonight I remember the days we spent together were not enough and it used to feel like dreamin' except we always woke up Never thought not having you here now would hurt so much Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up I need your loving hands to come and pick me up And every night I miss you I can just look up and know the stars are holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight I remember the time you told me about when you were eight And all those things you said that night that just couldn't wait I remember the car you were last seen in and the games we would play All the times we spilled our coffees and stayed out way too late I remember the time you SAT AND told me about your Jesus and how not to look back even if no one believes us When it hurt so bad sometimes not having…
